The Ultimate Food Storage Worksheet is a free food storage planner. It is a food storage spreadsheet program, which allows you to keep track of inventory and budget your food storage purchases.

This food storage program allows you to:
1) Plan your family’s food storage (items and quantity), 2) Keep track of your inventory, 3) Estimate the minimum usage rate of your food storage (use it or lose it!), and 4) Budget food storage purchases in 1, 3, 6, and 12 month increments.
To download it:
1) Option click on "~The Ultimate Food Storage Worksheet-Version1-0.xls" and select "save target as" to save to your hard drive.
(Option click is the right mouse button on a PC and a click and hold on a Mac)
You can use this version in almost any spreadsheet program including: QuatroPro, Lotus123, StarOffice, OpenOffice.
OpenOffice is a FREE, open source code, complete office suite solution that anyone can download and use for FREE. With it, you can create dynamic documents (word processor), analyze data (spreadsheet), design eye-catching presentations (PowerPoint equivalent), produce dramatic illustrations (drawing tool), and open up your databases. You can publish your work in Portable Document Format (.pdf), and release your graphics in Flash (.swf) format - without needing any additional software. You can open and edit any Microsoft Office file (i.e. *.doc, *.xls, *.ppt)
If you do not have a spreadsheet program, install OpenOffice. To download OpenOffice, click here.
Opening the File:
1) You need Microsoft Excel to open and use this file with macros.
2) When you open it, Excel might ask you to enable the macros. Click “Yes”.
3) If Excel will not open the file:, do the following from the Excel toolbar:
a. Close all excel files (File-> close)
b. Select View->Toolbars, select Visual Basic
c. Select the "Security" button on the Visual Basic toolbar.
d. Select medium security level and click OK
e. Re-open "The Ultimate Food Storage Worksheet-Version1-0.xls"
4) Instructions are on the first worksheet called “Family Calculator”.
Tip:
You can print blank Inventory lists (~Blank Spreadsheet Forms) for all categories to:
1) Plan your family’s food storage (set goals),
2) Take inventory of your current stock,
3) Talley purchases and usage until you are ready to update your file in the computer at a later date, and
4) Keep track of prices and sources while away from your computer.
